Chuck Haselwood's journey from a sectarian ranch in Ellensburg to a popular business person and neighborhood leader in Bremerton is a testimony to his willpower and business spirit. Partnering with Danny Jones, Chuck introduced his own gas station and sold cars and trucks, at some point forming an enduring partnership with Bud Higgs to produce Chuck & Buds-- a car dealership that focused on customer service, offering warranties unheard of at the time.
Chuck's relentless drive for innovation led him to increase his service beyond used automobiles. He took a danger with Buick and later on became the first to use Honda cars in the U.S. throughout the 1970s gas crisis, marking the beginning of his national success. His choice to open a Honda car dealership was ahead of its time, showing his ability to acknowledge potential in arising markets. His expansion proceeded with other major franchises, and at some point, Chuck established the West Hills Car Plex, a business that reflects his commitment to high quality, integrity, and neighborhood service. Chuck's heritage resides on not just in the vehicles he sold, yet in his deep dedication to his area, which proceeds to grow in Kitsap Region today.
